Hello Kindergarteners, This is such a special time of year! We are in the season of Lent, the season before Easter. During Lent, we remember our Baptism and prepare for Easter, when Jesus rose from the dead. During Lent, we do many good deeds and try to be more like Jesus. We pray, fast, and give. Watch these short videos to learn more about Lent! https://watch.formed.org/lent-with-brother-francis-4-part-series Have fun doing these Lent and Easter activities!

Hello Kindergarteners and Happy New Year! In a few weeks, we will be celebrating Valentine's Day! This special day is a great time to tell the people you care about that you love them. How do you show love for someone? How do others show they love you? When I'm sad, my mom always finds a way to make me feel better. She gives me a hug and says "It is going to be okay." That was one way I know that she loves me. When my son or daughter feel sick, I will make them some warm soup, and snuggle them under a blanket while they nap. That's one way I show my love for them. When I want to show my love for God, I pray. Praying is a wonderful way to share your love with God, and to listen and learn how much God loves you too! Today we are going to listen to a story about how much God loves us. I hope you enjoy it! Also, look below for some fun activities you can try at home. Hello Kindergarteners! Can you believe we are only a few days away from Christmas! What are you most excited about? What traditions do you and your family have at Christmas time? Maybe you say as special prayer together, eat a special meal, or visit with special friends or relatives! At my house every Christmas Eve, we read the nativity story aloud from the bible before dinner, then tell each person in our family one thing we love about them and give them special wishes for the new year. It is my favorite part of our Christmas celebration because it helps to remind me what Christmas is really all about - the birth of Jesus!
